Wine, wine, wine. Monterey is overflowing with wine. For something different, try Peter B's Brewpub, the only spot in Monterey that brews its beer on site. Beer choices include the wheat hefeweizen, a full-bodied, golden wheat beer; the amber ale, a rich and flavorful deep amber- colored beer; the raspberry wheat, a mix of Peter's hefeweizen with a raspberry twang; the India pale ale, a malty, bitter, hoppy pilsner with a high alcohol content; the classic pilsner, a straw-colored smooth beer; the dark wheat, a combo of wheat and stout; and the seven-malt stout, a mixture of two-row black, caramel, chocolate, roasted wheat and oat malts.

The bar also offers a full selection of single-malt scotches, specialty martinis and a full bar. Peter B's is a full- service restaurant too, and food can be ordered at the bar till 1am. The menu includes traditional pub fare, such as beer-battered onion rings and half-pound burgers, plus a few house specialties like sourdough pizzas and super salads.
