Here's a hotel lounge bar where you won't hear the tinkly strains of the Captain and Tennille coming from a piano. Pearl's Nightclub, part of the Crowne Plaza Hotel complex on the East Side, has live DJs spinning classic rock Wednesday through Saturday nights starting at 9pm. The somewhat upscale lounge offers to the crowd -- a mix of older collegiates, business professionals and hotel patrons -- the "old disco" look of a lighted dance floor, as well as assorted TVs and big screens to keep up with sporting events. If you get lucky, maybe one of the Crowne Plaza's guests will invite you for a dip in the hotel pool. Or if it's food you want, the adjacent Austin's Sidewalk Café serves under an open atrium until 11pm. -- Lex Lonehood
