Louisville is rarely mistaken for the colorful streets of Spain -- unless you're dining at De La Torre's. The glittery copper bar warms the busy main room of this authentic Castilian hot spot. Creating your own meal from the extensive tapas list is easy, but you won't go wrong ordering a main dish like a traditional paella or pasta al cabrales (linguine with Spanish blue cheese). De La Torre's wine list is only in Spanish and pairs beautifully with the food. But French and Belgian country ales are also available to complement the chorizo, lamb, tapas and other specialties of the house.

This restaurant is wonderful, relaxing and simply elegant, without being pretentious. Whoever thought the service was sub-par must have accidentally eaten at the used music store next door.

if eating tasteless, ersatz spanish food served by incompetents in an atmosphere more frigid and lifeless than a morgue and forced to select from 10% of the wine list that is actually on hand is louisville's idea of fine dining, then taco bell will soon be celebrating five start status.
