Its a 'hot, sweaty blues club,' and they're proud of it. The best place in Louisville to get your blues fix, Stevie Ray's music is gritty and sultry, just the way blues fans like it. Legends of the past, present and future take the stage and wow the crowd in an intimate, personal setting. They get the same bands as Buddy Guys in Chicago or B.B. Kings in Memphis. Youre not just observing the greats from afar here; youre mingling with them and chatting about their latest CD release. Get up close and personal with legends such as Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Anson Funderburg and Rod Piazza. Just make sure and dine ahead of time, because no food is served. Note: Not affiliated with Stevie Ray Vaughan. -- Lena Katz

Fred Wooten Sr and his best friend and business partner , the late Mike Pollard Sr started the greatest bar in Louisville. They sold the place and started Headliners Music Hall. (What Vision)
