If you're ambitious enough to bust through the determined group ticket-wielding youth in line for the Wiltern Theater next door, you are rewarded with a dining experience worthy of an encore: where you can grab a bite for $20 or splurge on a customized nine-course meal. Formerly Opus Bar & Grill, the current incarnation is a foodie destination with chef Josef Centeno (of former Melrose eatery, Meson G) helming the kitchen. The daily-changing dinner menu includes his signature yellowtail sashimi with avocado-buttermilk sorbet or meaty crispy pork belly. But spontaneous tasting menus in three, six and nine-courses are where Centeno can fully spread his creative culinary wings. All of this is served on sleek, candle-lit, leather-topped tables, in a large, high-ceiling space. The adjoining bar has an enclosed seating area (smoking is permitted -- this is K-town, after all) and serves its menu late-night.

Diamond in the Rough.

Despite it's very unsuspecting location, my friend and I we so happy to have found this great restaurant in the heart of Korea Town. First of all the atmosphere is great (perfect for a date!) trendy, candle lit, comfortale sofa-like seating, just overall very pretty and romantic. The food is great and SO affordable, (it is cusine like you have prob never had before) I loved the filet and the pasta with shrimp is also divine! If you are daring I suggest the tasting menus although it was a little bit to audacious for my liking, but I enjoyed experimenting all the same. Great service also, they treat you like a celeb, no matter who you are. A definite MUST TRY dining experience!!!!
