La Creperie has found the perfect middle ground between being accessible to French food enthusiasts and first timers alike. Much of this has to do with the decor: the wide open space has a casual French countryside motif with rustic accents like exposed lighting fixtures, colorful murals, exposed brick and rich fabrics draped over shuttered window panes. The young wait staff is always willing to describe unfamiliar sounding entrees to the uninitiated such as entrecote bercy (a rib eye steak in a white wine shallots and veal stock reduction), poulet West Indies (grilled chicken in a curry and coconut sauce) and the croque madame (a ham and cheese-filled baguette sandwich topped with bechamel sauce and poached eggs. Of course, crepes are king at La Creperie with more than 30 types served during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I have been to La Creperie three times and have only had decent service once, but the food is great, especially the desert crepes. For that reason alone I would probably go back.

I really enjoyed La Creperie located in the heart of Belmont Shore. The food was great, reasonably priced and the service was superb. Patrick, the owner, made us feel right at home.
