Kincaid's Fish Chop & Steak   

This attractive restaurant was a major investment and the first prototype of a burgeoning chain of restaurants that brings the aura of seaside freshness to even their non-coastal locations. This one, of course, actually has the ocean for a view, and the blue Pacific sets the mood for the huge assortment of fish and shellfish on the menu. You can do some serious damage at the raw bar, too. Hearty cuts of nicely prepared beef are also on the menu, often served with imaginative sauces and side dishes. Service is youthful but expert, and the wine selections can be refreshingly original. Also refreshing is the generous happy hour, weeknights from 4-6PM and again from 10PM to close.
