For years, Joe's has not only been tagged Venice's coolest neighborhood hangout, but one of LA's best all-around restaurants. Owner and chef Joe Miller presides over a newly expanded kitchen that turns out tomato-and-fontina croque messieurs and other fresh Cali-French temptations. Gobble a grilled hanger steak with smashed Yukon potatoes, red onions and spinach salad, or scarf squid-ink tagliolini with Florida red shrimp and Maine diver scallops. The seafood selections grow even bolder at dinner, as roasted eastern monkfish with pancetta chips and fava beans swims alongside a perfect New Zealand red snapper. The seasonal prix-fixe alternative gives diners the chance to survey delicacies like yellow squash risotto, smoked lobster stew or poached wild salmon with baked roma tomatoes. Weekend brunch is a perennial favorite, but come nightfall, Joe's dims the lights for one of LA's sexiest dining vibes. Linger long in Joe's spacious new dining room, or hit the back patio, with its stately wooden trellis and waterfall fountain, for a few private moments. Absent all attitude and blessed with an able, courteous waitstaff, Joe's retains the mantle of favorite neighborhood nook.

Joe's, is in my modest opinion, the best restaurant in L.A. Its a true gourmet affair at reasonable prices & with a hip, attractive & unpretentious ambiance. I cannot stop recommending their seven course tasting menu - which currently includes 3 ounces of Kobe beef among other delicacies - and is a bargain at $58.

My favorite restaurant in the LA area! The food is always delicious. The service is wonderful - you never feel as though you're being rushed. Highly recommend the Creme Brulee for dessert! Always a great dining experience.

Always good food, always good service makes Joe's a must for someone who enjoys a top notch restaurant. The Duck Salad, the Pork Tenderloin, and the Creme Brulee are some of my favorites. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, presentation and service.

This about my tenth trip to Joe's and I have yet to be disapponed. The mushroom ravioli is to die for, and the addtion recently of vegetarian menu items was great. I had the asparagus dinner which was superb
