Going 100-percent organic in order to preserve a genuine experience for all, this charming, chemical-free country house comes complete with outdoor fire pits, wooden ceilings and a rural aroma that has a small town heart and big city flavor. At Coral Tree the eggs, coffee, juices, cheese and salad are all organic. In fact, the only things that might not be completely authentic are the guests. Appealing nicely to a socially responsible, 'Fast Food Nation'-reading clientele who appreciate Coral Tree's "beneficial juices" like "The De-Toxifier" (beets, apples, carrots, and fresh parsley), the restaurant offers a flavorful Rustica panino (spinach, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and havarti cheese) or a stuffed chutzpah-laden Challah bread French toast filled with strawberry preserves and cream cheese. Also on the menu for lunch and dinner are pastas, scrambles, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, loose leaf teas and, of course, LA's invigorator-du-jour, chai. Guests order at the counter, casual-style, so prepare to stand in line and take a number on weekends.
