A 7,000-foot, elegant example of Moorish architecture houses Glendale's Carousel, the ornate eatery that specializes in authentic Greek, Lebanese and Armenian dishes and live Middle Eastern entertainment. Guests can savor dishes such as the hot appetizer kebbeh maklieh (spheres of ground beef and cracked wheat stuffed with minced meat, onions and pine nuts), the popular lula kebab (minced, lean beef with onions, parsley and spices) and the lamb kastaleta (seasoned and charbroiled lamb chops) with a sweet Nuts and Bolts martini. If your preference is not to drink, sip stiff Armenian coffee out on Carousel's canopy-cooled patio or inside Carousel's elegant gold and orange-colored dining room. Each Thursday, candlelight dining becomes an option as Carousel dims the lights for a romantic evening enhanced by light guitar playing, while Fridays and Saturdays explode with activity as Jillina and her Sahlala dancers, who take the floor for an undulating display of belly-dancing expertise. A set menu is provided for the Friday and Saturday performances, with regular dining relegated to patio seating. Make your reservations early to guarantee a table for you and your guests. -- Jesse Torres

By pearleyes89 on 01/28/2006
We went with my family to eat at carousel and we only ate appetizers, only around 5 small plates. half of them had no taste, one entree of meat, and the bill came out to $145.00!!! that is ridiculous! 145 bucks for food that was absolutely terrible!! Service sucks too! Please, do yourself a favor and DON'T EAT HERE!!!

Excellent Food and Service. The food is authentic Lebanese food that tastes like out of this world. The waiters are very friendly and rush to get anything your heart desires. The desserts are delicious!!! There is belly dancing and live band music and dancing on weekends... Beautiful setting either indoor or outdoor patio.

DON'T EAT HERE!
By scorchestra on 06/06/2004
If you are hungry, want polite service and a nice time then Don't Eat Here!! The service is terrible. The waiters are extremely RUDE! The portions are very small. We ordered the Shish Kabob and got a smal plate half filled with more pita bread and a few pieces of meat. The menu says you get a broiled tomoto but the wedge of tomoto that comes with it has never seen a brolier. It is stewed and tiny! If you want great Shish Kabob then go to Raffi's. It is truly the BEST! The menu also says you get pepper. The pepper you get is a thin little strip of limp bell pepper. Oh, and don't even dream of asking for a substitute. HORRIBLE PLACE! Too mnay great
