Following a trend toward modern versions of such classic cuisines as Thai, Italian and French, Bombay Cafe serves up what some call "Cal/Indian" cuisine, presenting a fresh, lighter take on the venerable curries and masalas of yore. Tandoori tastiness is still present, and all of your favorite dishes make appearances, though somehow reinvented and joined with Indian street-vendor foods that don't usually make the trip to the States. The sindhi chicken poached in onions and ginger and the kerala pork masala and tandoori chicken sausages are just two of many standouts.
