Once you've tasted the exotic food at this friendly eatery, you'll find it hard to settle for the cookie-cutter menus of most Indian restaurants. Start with aloo tikki, potato pancakes topped with onions, tamarind and chutney; the uttapam, a thin griddlecake made with cream of wheat; or the crispy pakoras, fritters of onion, shrimp or fish. Entres include outstanding curries, aromatic tandoori dishes and frankies, little burrito-like rolls that are sold from pushcarts on the beaches of Bombay. Even the desserts are intriguing, especially the Indian rice pudding and the mango ice cream.

This food is no imitation!
I don't have to describe the menu, you'll have to see and experience it for yourself. The food is very, very good, no kidding! Their bread is like cotton (soft, tasty and not filling) and the food is one of the best compare to (see "Akbar" on my other reviews). Both locations (Santa Monica & Pasadena) is nice, the owners and waiters are very nice. Again, aside from nice, the food has to be nice!
