Select from Valerie Holton's "menu" of black LA landmarks, and she will create a customized five-hour tour itinerary for your group of 20 or more. Her offerings include the art community of St. Elmo's Village, Leimert Park, West Adams Boulevard's "Sugar Hill" (Harlem's sister city in its heyday and home to many black performers), plus many churches and museums. A special highlight on her list is Allensworth, an historical black township near Bakersfield. It is now a state park, and Valerie is one of its docents. She can also arrange trips to TV tapings featuring African-American actors.
