Rate and Write a Review Most hotel coffee shops are long on convenience and short on personality, so it's refreshing to visit Upper Deck in the Las Vegas Club, a busy, noisy upstairs eatery that looks more like a friendly neighborhood sports bar. The menu matches the setting, with its assortment of sandwiches, burgers and salads, plus some terrific late-night specials, including fried chicken, steak and pancakes. Those with a professional athlete-sized appetite may opt for the 20-ounce T-bone steak that packs twice as much flavor as you might expect given the rock-bottom price. It's the little touches throughout that make Upper Deck memorable; the milkshakes made from real ice cream, the tasty cold-cut sandwiches, and the selection of sports memorabilia that lines the walls. It's one of downtown's hidden treasures, but may not stay that way for long. Note: The 12-inch, nine-pound Big Daddy Barrick Burger is now being served here while The Plaza Diner is under construction. True beef lovers are well aware of the challenge: Eat the whole thing in one sitting and get it free.
