From the Editors
Sgt. Preston of the Yukon was originally a
radio and television series depicting the life of
a Royal Canadian Mountie in the Northwest
Territories. This saloon is a loving attempt to
re-create the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century
Canada. What does this mean to you? Basically,
just catfish sandwiches, buffalo burgers, chef's
salads, beer and the like served in a cozy bar-
cum-dining room with Canadian memorabilia lining
the brick walls. If you're homesick for Manitoba,
Sgt. Preston's might do in a pinch. If you've
never even heard of Manitoba, go for the drink
specials, decent bar food and convivial
atmosphere. Live alt-music acts appear on the
patio more or less regularly on Monday, Friday
and Saturday nights from May through, well --
through the end of Indian summer.

The best sandwich I have had in Lafayette is the roast beef and asparagus! Try it, and don't forget the horseradish!!
