Mc-Donalds is somthing to compare it to? Mc-D's, little kids running around. Ricks grown ups acting the same. Mc-D's, The smell of little kids, unwashed. Ricks, about the same, grown ups? Mc-D's. The smell of cleaner right after somone just sprayed it. Ricks, needs more of it. Mc-D's, The chefs, you can see the results of hard work. Rick's, it's about the same skill level. If you go to Mc-D's you will recive faster service, cheaper prices, and the server will actually appear to like working there.

Ricks could definately be better. The food portions are small for the price that you pay. Not to mention that the waitresses dress like tragic hookers. The service sucks, the just don't care while you're there. I will say that what little food you do get is pretty good, but if they want to survive they need to bring in better waitresses that know what customer service is, and send the hookers back to the streets!

If you like people who rev their motorcycle engines unnecessarily, overdressed prom-goers, overpriced low quality food and poor service, then you will love Rick’s Boatyard Café.

When I went to seattle, recived about the same treatment. Overpriced, undersized amount of food. The people working there apeared to have just walked off the farm. (Acted like they have never been in public before). They had never seen a popular movie, or read a good book in the last six months. Get a good look at the cook. Decide if you are that hungery before ordering.
worst expericence ever 05/13/2007
will never visit ricks again after the worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life on mothers day may 13, 2007 We had reservations for 6 on mothers day at 11am..by 2pm ..we still hadn't received our food that we ordered 2 1/2 hours earlier and yet people that arrived 45 min or so after us had already gotten food. management ignored us and after we asked for a free gift certificate-they refused it to us and said they would mail it-we didn't believe them-so we told the people waiting outside to get in to leave b/c of our experience. I blame the management for the screw up. we were never even checked on hardly-seemed like no one cared about us-so i'm letting other people know not to go there.

The food is good, the drinks are over priced, but the worse part is that they always over charge my credit card. Don't use your credit card, even if you leave a tip on the table they still add a tip to your credit card. Also, every year without fail the first nice day of the season, they never have the deck open. It's always something. It's too bad it could be a really good place.

My Husband and I were out working around in the neigborhoods out in eagle creek one night, during the summer. Our van broke down and we asked them for some water to put in our radiator so that we could get home. They were very helpful to help us..Thank You !

Short and sweet of it...this place is over-rated. It reminds me of the downfall i/ve seen in many restaraunts that start out incredible, then over time get lazy or don't invest in good high quality staff and ensure they only keep the good ones. The service made the food tast bad...the view is okay but we go to restaraunts to relax and enjoy what our hard earned dollar has provided, not to suffer the indignities of bitter lazy employees. We dine out 4-5 times a week, no matter how good the food we don't go more than once to a place that allows terrible service...Rick's days are numbered, their clentele will suffer if they don't get a handle on it.

My husband and I went there last week. We sat outside at the bar. Sam was our bartender and she was awesome! The food was excellent, the atmosphere great, the service was super! The bar was really busy and she made it her mission to make sure we we had everything we needed. If you get a chance, go outside, sit at the bar and throw back a few cocktails. Don't forget to ask Sam about her tattoo, it's a great story! We're definitely going back.

It was our anniversary and we spent it enjoying the view and food from Rick's. It was everything we expected. Our server, John, was excellent and we will ask for him when we return.
