Nights are supermurgitroid at Sambuca. That's jazz slang for extremely cool. Live music plays every night of the week at this stylish supper club. Sambuca may call itself a jazz cafe, but various music styles can be heard here, including Latin sounds on Salsa Thursdays. Hang out at the bar or be seated for dinner. The animal print banquette sofas are cozy places to dine with a date. However, the prime spot for privacy is the enclosed circular table just for two. Choose from a list of steak, seafood and pasta entrees. Indulge in the blackened ribeye or Zebra Pasta, which is filled with lobster, shrimp and scallops. The lunch menu offers selections not found on the dinner menu. A popular choice is the soup, salad and half sandwich, where you can create your own combination from a large list of items. Don't forget to check out the cigar room. Just off the beautiful upstairs balcony, it's open Thursday through Saturday. -- Sarah Nichols

When me and one of my friends from school went out for a girls day out. We really enjoyed ourselves. At that time they only played jazz. The band was okay but the food was good especially the sald and the twice stuffed baked potatoe.

Great Place to meet with friends for happy hour or a date for dancing
By GaviglioA on 06/14/2008
I have enjoyed my many visits to Sambuca. They arent just a jazz place any longer. Their music spans from 80's cover bands, 70's Rock and Roll, Blues, Latin beats to Jazz.. Their happy hour rocks with drinks starting at $3. Menu items include seafood (lobster enchiladas are the best), steaks, lamb chops and yummy desserts. This is a great place for adults to meet and mingle. Perfect place to bring a date and break the ice. See you at Sambuca!!

One of the Worst-BEWARE!
By odyssey96 on 12/30/2007
12/30/07-A first-timer and it was terrible!! Pot Roast was OK, but veggies were poor. The Zebra Pasta (shrimp) was also poor!! All the food was room temperature or cooler. The Crab Cake appetizer was no better than a frozen cake from Sam's Club. The waiter was the only pleasant part of the evening..."Paco" tried his best to make up for the crappy food!! But, he failed! And, the silverware is too large to use and had poor balance. Oh, by the way, the jazz group was just average. BEWARE!!!

okay

After reading all of the great reviews, I was disappointed with the food and service at Sambuca. The food was not all that appealing, and nothing they offered on the menu really caught my eye. I am not a picky eater! The biggest complaint I had was the wait for the food. When we arrived the restaurant was not busy, but it took amost 1 hour for me any my boyfriend to get our food. Also, it was pricey due to the amount of food you get.
