Picturesque views of a waterfall and river make The Mill on the River one of the most romantic dining spots in the state. This 200-year-old mill, once used to grind corn, buckwheat and rye, now plays host to diners and special events. The gazebo and patio are opened during the warm summer months, and both give an incredible water view, as does the glass-enclosed sunroom. The dining room, with its fireplace and dim lighting, screams romance. Boasting a menu of seafood specialty dishes, The Mill serves up house favorites such as seafood fra diavolo, sole Francais and mussels steamed in white wine. Fresh seafood is guaranteed daily. The Sunday brunch is also a big hit, offering a menu of eggs done any which way you can imagine: with seafood, with sauce, plain or in a quiche.
