If you like simmering black bean soup, then Cafe on Market is the place for you. It is unquestionably the best in the area.

At night, Cafe on Market is an intimate bistro setting with candles on the tables, but during the day, it has a more casual atmosphere -- quiet, light and airy. In either case, the cafe is very welcoming and a great place to bring close friends, family or a sweetheart.

Signature dishes include Salmon Sorrento, Suzy's Chicken Salad and, of course, that stupendous black bean soup. The specials change daily, highlighting a menu of assorted appetizers, soups, sandwiches, chicken, pork, duck and seafood entrees. And whatever you have, make sure you leave room for the sumptuous desserts.

For musical entertainment, a live classical guitarist is featured every other Thursday from 6:30 to 9pm. (Call for schedule). Ample parking is provided in the rear of the building where you can also enter the restaurant.
