A historical landmark dating back to 1832, the Boiling Springs Tavern is a delightful romantic place to enjoy an evening of fine dining. It sits a little off the beaten path, across the street from the beautiful Yellow Breeches River. Inside, the central dining area has heavy wood tables and chairs arranged around an open-hearth fireplace promoting an intimate dining experience. Be sure to take your time before you order -- the wine list is extensive and lists wines from around the world. The actual menu also covers a range of flavorful appetizers; a pleasing list of taste-tempting entrees including fresh seafood, aged western beef, veal, pasta or chicken (all with a spice or sauce flair); and very well presented desserts. The staff manages the fine line of being attentive without being overly intrusive. Many people dine at the Boiling Springs Tavern prior to visiting the Allenberry Theater, which sits close by.
