Rate and Write a Review This is strictly a nightclub where you see young people getting drunk in the hopes of meeting other young people and hooking up for the night. It has the stumbling gracelessness of a college fraternity party at times. On the positive side, there are some pool tables and other games in a side area and a very large dance floor. There's live music Thursday and Saturday nights, DJs play the other nights. Mostly the live music is by '70s and '80s dinosaur bands, gasping for air and rolling their flabby guts into skintight spandex tiger pants. This is where they show up for a night on their way to the rest of their Holiday Inn world tour. - - Daina Savage

No good bands at the Village? You need to hear Fuzzy Bunny Slippers, Screaming Daisies and some of the other bands they have there. I have a better time at the Village on Sat. night's when they have bands then anyplace else. If you don't like it there thats fine. I'll be there having fun without you.

The people that have given the Village a bad rating (or none at all) are trying to compare it with a "big city" club. Yah you can't do that. This is a "typical" college bar. I go pretty much every Wed night. It's a way for my friends and I to get together, break up the week, people watch and have a cheap night out. Besides it's better than most places in York!!

yes ive been in the village a few times and its nothing to write home about yes it does need remodeling and maybe they should actually try bringing in better live musicsuch as hip hop artist i mean they play that style of music anyway so why dont they try other means as to bringing good music industry acts there!!!!!!

If you have a brain do not go to the village. Stupid people gather to talk about pointless topics, drink bad beer and dance like fools to bad music. And of course the ritual of obnoxious boy/girl, boy/boy, and girl/girl games happen in every corner.
Instead of complaining that there are no other places to go in Lancaster, why not do something about it? Things can change if you make them. There are so many towns with cool places to go that kids have started up. I guess if you are from Lancaster I may be asking too much.
