Excellent traditional and not-so-traditional Italian dishes are served at Y Not Pizza. Tony, the young owner ("Tony" is "Y Not" spelled backward), brought the family and recipes down from New York. Eggplant, Bianca or Florentine pizzas are made with delicious hand-thrown crusts. Sit back in the comfortable black-and-white booths and watch the commotion behind the bustling counter. Pizza ovens smoke and nearby crusts are being tossed sky-high. Together with the Sicilian, New York-style and stuffed pizzas are multiple pasta dishes, hot and cold subs, and a variety of insalates. The chef and antipasto salads are loaded with fresh meats, cheeses, pickled veggies and other goodies. Y Not has a New York-style bakery right next door. Order off the menu and you’ll get a homemade cannoli or tiramisu.
