Sizz'l-n-Spice lives up to its name, especially with its incredible lunch buffet, an option that's becoming increasingly popular with harried downtown worker types. On the outskirts of Greektown, in the shadows of Compuware's world headquarters, the lunch bunch crowds into this Indian eatery, despite its unusually narrow design and closely cramped tables. Diners should expect the standards, only this cuisine far exceeds standard expectations. Traditional vegetarian appetizers, salads and soups (including tomato shorba, nawabi lamb and chicken hot and sour) are abound. Tastefully done tandoori (we especially like the chicken pepper tikka -- boneless chicken chunks marinated with yogurt, spices and black pepper cooked on a skewer in tandoor) provide 10 different options, while vegetarians can choose from a dozen different entrees. Chicken, lamb, seafood and sandwiches are all to be had at this very clean and efficient eatery. It's a little busy at lunch, so a little patience on your part helps. Don't count it out as a dinner option -- especially as a prelude to a night downtown.
