Billed as ''the nightclub phenomenon returns,'' they're really not joking. Following its early summer 2003 closing on Congress in downtown Detroit, Space first opted to re-open in Royal Oak. City fathers would have nothing of it, as the club's reputation for debauchery preceded it. Finding a home in the club-heavy downtown Pontiac, Space was resurrected October, 2003 in the old Have A Nice Day location. And while its confines are somewhat smaller than previous digs, the folks at Murray Hodgeson Productions refused to skimp on proper interior amenities. With four bars scattered throughout Space, say good riddance to those long waits for drinks. With its typically booming sound system and matching video screens, club goers can also chill on the king-sized beds on the main floor. And many of the performers remain, including Brutal Betty, the 300-pound, 60-year-old dominatrix; the little people; cross-dressers; Flying Wallendas and more.
