Opening under a small cloud of controversy, the owners of Sevin started 2003 by opening the club. Originally billed as "Sin," Pontiac Mayor Willie Payne requested that club owners change the venue's name to something a little more community-friendly. Since then Sevin, with its 22,000 square feet and $20 cover charge after midnight, has become the newest club incarnate in the metro Detroit area. Deep house, trance and remix pump enthusiastically on the main floor. The martini jazz lounge affords patrons the chance to style out and chill. High-energy dance music and an attention to clubby detail makes Sevin a true nightclub experience. Resident DJs sometimes make room for national and international visiting spinners, bridging a wealth of dance music that is seemingly unrivaled. Management encourages stylish attire.
