Housed in an old abode that's been converted into a cottage-style eatery, the Augustine Grill provides locals with a common gathering place. The inviting decor includes a fireplace, a classy patio perfect for summer dining and fresh flowers on each table. There is no shortage of fruity teas and the unique salads are plentiful. Need something more filling? Tasty sandwiches include the 6th Street, a concoction packed with turkey, bacon, Swiss, fried onions and ranch on a baguette. Another restaurant fave is the parmesan-dusted egg panini with lightly breaded egg, fresh mozzarella, marinated bell peppers and red onion served on foccacia with a zesty marinara sauce. The Augustine gourmet burger, topped with Swiss brie, mushrooms and green chiles, is served on multigrain bread, lending a new take on this meaty classic. The desserts are as sweet as the decor and consist of several delicious treats like the raspberry almond creme brulee and chocolate toffee and Kahlua mousse. A downfall of the Augustine Grill is the noise level. Opt to eat on the patio or you may teeter on the edge of shouting across the table to your companion. -- Laura Finney
