Traditional Tex-Mex is the specialty at this cantina-style restaurant. Breakfasts are hearty combinations of tortillas, eggs, beans and a wide variety of meats, cheeses and veggies. For lunch, plan to possibly wait a while: This is a popular place to take a short reprieve from work and feast on delicious burritos, tacos, and chips and salsa or guacamole. There's a bar stocked with all of your favorite beverages, but of course the margaritas and sangria are big sellers and will most likely be the best complement to your meal.

One owner is rude

Kikos is a good place. But if you want Coke to drink with your meal, you better know the tricks on how to get it. You see, they only serve Pepsi products in the dining area. And what they dont want you to know is that the bar quietly serves Coca-Cola. I mean really, who orders a JAck and Pepsi in a bar ?? Since I despise Pepsi, I always request a Coke from the bar. Some wait staff will accomodate me, other won't in fear of being chewed out by the owner's son, Marcus Barrera. Marcus is the son of owners Grace and Kiko Barrera and is often seen helping out with daily operations. I have been a regular customer years. Now a days, when I want Coca-Cola, I will get up and walk to the bar and get it myself from the bar tender rather than ask a waitress to do it for me (even though they dont mind). Its just that I don't want to see another worker get introuble for honoring my request that is sop harmless. One day, I went to the bar to get my Coke and no one was working back there. I waited to see if they had just stepped in th eback or something, maybe they would come out and help me. This was about lunch time. I turned around and saw Marcus enter into the bar and said "can I help you"? After I explained to him my routine request for Coke, he told me that not only was the bar closed during that lunch hour, but he did not have any Coca-Cola. I thought that was insane. I guess he didnt realize how savvy I am to that. I told him "you are kidding"? He really didnt want me back there and he really didnt want to serve me Coke. What an *******. I told him that I know there is Coke back there in the bar because Ive had it served to me before whenever I special request it. And besides, what if a bar customer wants a "Jack and Coke"? Or any other alcoholic beverage that mixes well with exclusively Coca-Cola. His reply was, "We give them Jack and Pepsi. I said Yeah right, thats not true Marcus. Then he started motioning me out of the area. I went back to my seat pretty pissed off at his behavior. I told the rest of my party at my table the experience I just had with Marcus. Then our waitress came by our table and surprised me with a Coke !!! I was like, wow thanks. How did you pull that off? She just said she went back there and got it for me. I told her about what an ass Marcus was to me and that he lied and said there was no Coke. She kinda looked at me with agreement but did not comment. But the expression on her face was a thousand words! She did tell me that Grace, the mother of Marcus and the co owner of KIKOS, actually does not mind serving a Coke to a customer from the bar if they request it. Apparently she needs to relay that to her son. As for the food, its good, but its also very saturated in calories, fat and grease. But good, none the less. I recommend the daily special with a mixture of beef and chicken fajitas. You can add Shrimp for $4.99 but its not worth it to me. Very tangy as they season it with something very bitter that I dont care for.

Great food

I think its a great place, well the food is. Service is good, the building has construction now and is very popular plus open long hours. I really think the set-up needs to be overhauled but the food and service is very good so I marked it as so. Only people that wouldnt like it, are into TACO BELL as mexican food.

This place is not all what its made up to be. This is the last time I would eat there or recommend it. The food is so not like true mexican food should be, and the staff is so rude and unattentive to the customers needs. All this after waiting soooo long to get seated.Trust me its not worth the wait. Your better off eating at taco bell or taco bueno than this place.
