Not only is the food superb and the service probably the best I have ever seen, this restaurant maintains this high level of excellance every time my wife and I visit, which for the past year has been at least once a month. The wine list is somewhat daunting, but I can describe what I am looking for and the price I am willing to pay and I always get a recommendation that is solid and often times better than what I expected for the price. It is in the same league with the French Laundry and other of the United States' best restaurants.

My fiance proposed to me in this restaurant. He decided on it because he knows that I speak french and I am obsessed with french culture. Our waitor was from France and he gave us some travelling tips and didn't make fun of my (thick) American accent. At the end of the evening, they gave us a gift certificate to come back. It was only $10., but every little bit helps. The food was great, even if we forgot what we ordered and didn't know what we were eating. The price was high, but for our experience, it was worth it. I wouldn't go there except on special occasions because of the price, but I would recommend it to anybody who wants to make a night memorable!

The Refectory is good but I have never experienced anything there that would come close to the rave reviews it consistently gets. The food is very good but it's not the best restaurant in Columbus.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Refectory last year and found it to be a wonderful experience. You are at the top of our list. The food was exquisite and the environment comfortable and enjoyable. You will be seeing more of us.

This is the best restaurant in the entire state of Ohio, hands down. The price may be a bit high at first glance, but then when you realize how much work went into preparing each dish, it eases the pain a bit. The menu changes frequently, so you will always be able to try something fresh and different. My last meal consisted of rack of lamb, which was the most heavenly dish I have ever consumed. If this ever appears on the menu again, I implore you to experience it. I also have a soft spot for this restaurant, as it was where I proposed to my wife. For impeccable food, ambiance, and service, I can think of no better place to visit.

I go to the Refectory about twice a year, and I dont go more often because it is expensive, but every time I go with my wife we love it! The food is superb. I have traveled around the world and have been in many good French restaurants, including several top restaurants in Paris, and I can say that the Refectory is one of the best. Don't miss it; it is great.

If you don't care about the price...or you want to impress then the Refectory is a manditory investment. Wonderfull open beams and a classy feeling not found in many places in Columbus. The staff is friendly and goes well beyond the norm. Dinner for two with a glass of wine will run you about $100. Not for everyone every night, but a great evening to make an exception!Everything is well prepared and compares to anything you will find anyplace in the world! Thanks for a fine dinning experience!
