The German Village Cup O' Joe reflects its neighborhood's sensibility. Only the lucky and/or persistent will find a place in the miniscule parking lot. Although there's not much space, what is available is put to good use, with evenly distributed tables, chairs and couches, and every existing inch of display covered with various offerings of coffees, flavored syrups, colorful tea cups and other fun brewing accessories. There's even a bulletin board listing civic events and sales. The offerings are basically the same as the average Columbus Joes, however, with several kinds of hot and cold coffee and espresso combinations; fresh-looking cookies, cakes, muffins, and other desserts; smoothies and most recently, a limited menu. The latter, mainly geared for the lunch crowd, includes soups, quiches, and sandwiches, with things like veggie grinders, meatless chili, and chef's salad for the health conscious. So if you want to please a crowd, or simply yourself, this is a pretty good bet, especially since there's lots of high-intensity people-watching.
