This bar derives its moniker from the imaginatively named mixed drink containing cognac, gin, bitters, ginger ale and lime juice. Regulars know that if you're not a sufferin' bastard when you walk into this rustic tavern, you will be after you drink one. Or you might be coerced into trying the other house specialty, a Sand Hill Hooker. It's made with chilled Cuervo and a chaser of chilled pickle and jalapeno juice. Sometimes newcomers can get their first Sand Hill free. If the weather permits, you can score these and other less challenging drinks in the beer garden on the outside patio. If you're not a big drinker, you can watch sports TV, soak up country music, and try your hand at the billiard table or steel- and soft-tipped darts.

Great bar in Colorado Springs. This bar has been an institution in the Colorado Springs area for over 21 years. The bar caters to bikers, truckers, and military in particular. Come in to see Linda or Sabine during the day, and Libby or Alisha during the evenings. For the trucker crowd, there is a lot you can park trucks in right across the street from the bar. For military, it is conveniently located right outside the North gate of Peterson Air Force Base. If you are looking for a good crowd with friendly people, this is your kind of bar.
