Since opening in 1988, Akron's lively Interbelt has become one of the top gay and dance spots in the area. It's also the most spacious, with three full-service bars, a pair of dance floors and a roomy outdoor patio. DJs Doug Strong, Mike Lowry and Greg routinely spin the hottest techno and house grooves on a fierce new sound system beneath potent lighting. Beyond the regular dance nights, drag shows and CD release parties, the Interbelt brings in big names, including Eartha Kitt, Taylor Dayne and Ru Paul. There's usually no cover Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays before 11PM and the club is 18-and-over with ID. Although the crowd is predominantly gay, the Interbelt is a very comfortable club for straights, too.

who in control ?
its the only place i know where you can a different price on the same cocktail from everyone servicing, nobody knows where the owner went to.
it sucks..
Disgusted
This club was very dirty, especially the bathrooms- the owner was very rude, and it is very clicky- and to top off this night of fun, our car was broken into! There is NO security there at all, and it is NOT safe! I would NEVER recommend to go here EVER. You and your vehicle are not safe at all. There are much better, safe places to go- try Georgie's!
Not so fun
I went to the Interbelt once, and it was kind of boring. There were a lot of people there, but Bounce in Cleveland is much better, especially if you want a good drag show. I just wasn't feeling it, if I want to go to Akron for a good gay hangout, I go to Roseto's, otherwise, go to Bounce in Cleveland...much better time!
What a fun place
I was at The Belt for the first time last saturday. The DJ was great, he kept the floor alive. Love to learn more about him
