Forget napkins and feel free to lick the sauce right off your fingers: Goodie's homemade barbecue sauce has engendered such a loyal following that the place finally had to bottle and sell its prized product to raving customers. It's the natural, smoked flavor of the barbecued meats, paired with the sweet, spicy Goodie's sauce, that draws customers to this North College Hill joint. Place your order at the counter for a variety of barbecued selections: rib tips, whole and half slabs, wings and whole chicken, plus numerous side dishes that complement your selection. Although potato salad and mac 'n' cheese are offered, it's the soul food classics, like collard greens and fried okra, that tend to be the most popular. Goodie's offers a small but pleasant dining room, which is usually filled with neighborhood families or folks from nearby businesses. On the go? Try the quick drive-thru window, or call in a large order for carryout convenience.

goodi's, oh goody

excellent pepper-rubbed ribs cooked hard and smoky in a flavorful sauce and one of the few places to get beef brisket texas style in Cincinnati; needs a little help on the collards though; they tasted like they came from a can which had been stored in someone's fallout shelter 50 years ago

worst ribs i ever ate!!! What is the matter with you people? How did goodies get on cincinnatis best??? is beyond me!!! if you want some good ribs then try YARDBIRDS in Trenton or try RIBCITY by jungle jims in fairfield!!! IM serious if you go to one of these two rib places it will knock goodies right of cincinnatis best along with a few others.... They even beat montgomery inn ribs. the only reason they are called good is because they have been around forever. Sorry guys but yardbirds and ribcity have all of you other rib places beat!!!!!!

Best Ribs in Cincinnati
By procreloaded on 06/17/2006
As the title of this review says, you will find no better pork ribs anywhere in the City of Cincinnati. The meat leaves you gnawing on the ribs for more, sauce comes on the side for pouring or dipping, or just leaving alone, because the dry rub is so darn good. Very tender pork ribs, with just enough give to make your mouth exercise. John Steinbeck wrote about "gnawing pork" in The Grapes of Wrath, and I think this is what he meant. The sauce is tangy and sweet, but not as sweet as most storebought brands, and without the chemical liquid smoke flavor, because the real smoke is already in the meat. I can't believe how long I've been going there (since I was about 9 or 10 and they were on the other side of Hamilton Ave.) and still haven't had the beef ribs, so I can't comment on them. When it comes to sides, you'll get a slice of white or whole wheat bread with your to go order, the corn bread (which is extra) is too sweet for my (Jellico) Tennessee tastes, but I've met many a Yankee who devours it with gusto. Collard Greens are done as well as at home, enough said. Red beans and rice are mushy, with a celery (coriander maybe?) taste, delicious, and filling. Fried potatoes come as thick steak fries. There's usually a good selection of deserts, and I can personally recommend sweet potato pie, I've been wanting to try chess pie, hard to come by in these parts, but I rarely have enough room. All in all, it is Southern Barbeque in all its glory. I think it's better than you can get anywhere else in Cincinnati, Ohio, (even including that one ritzy place with the bright red sauce and the crowny guy), but it's up to you to make the decision. You owe it to Goodie and your own tongue, to give it a try.

Who in the world said Goodies has good ribs. I love ribs. The sauce is good but the ribs were very tough and fatty. It was like eating shoe leather. I had to throw away half of them. Ok the side dishes are very good, but the ribs..... Maybe i was there on a bad night. I dont know but ewwwwwwwwwwwww
