From the Editors

Looking for the kind of Kentucky lunch spot that serves traditional Kentucky cuisine and mint juleps every weekday, not just during Derby Week? Then head for the Derby Cafe, a spot featuring the best in native Kentucky fare, appropriately located at the Kentucky Derby Museum. Known for its outstanding regional cuisine, hot browns and Kentucky ham sandwiches served with a flair, the Derby Cafe is a favorite of tourists and locals alike, offering fresh salads and traditional food. Try the Derby Cafe's own version of the trademarked Derby Pie, (chocolate chips, bourbon and pecans). Whether sitting on the brick patio or at a table off the main hall of the Derby Museum, the view is memorable. And whatever the season, the best of Kentucky food is spoken here. -- Nancy Caine (Photo: courtesy of Derby Cafe)

Burgoo is tops for the track. This attraction actually cares for the quality of the food it serves to its guests. So come on down!
