Rate and Write a Review The whimsical wall art. The tattooed and pierced waitstaff. And the food -- oh, the food. The second Wishbone (the now-closed original opened in Wicker Park in 1990) opened in the West Loop to accommodate the area's trendy workers and residents. A couple of blocks away from the pricey Randolph Street restaurants such as Marche and Sushi Wabi, Wishbone offers patrons hearty Southern fare without the hefty price tag. Strap on the feedback and dig into super servings of blackened catfish, North Carolina crab cakes, baked bone-in ham, and shrimp and grits. Summer weekends are especially popular on the sidewalk cafe with area residents as are the brunches. A third Wishbone opened in the Lakeview neighborhood in 1999.

Evening Meal With Family
We are from MN and have a daughter who lives in Chicago and have eaten at Wishbone twice on two separate trips and loved it. The food was excellent , and the wine sampler was really great too. Also, we loved the atmosphere and vibrant and friendly wait staff. Best of all, it is very
affordable!
the best!
This is the best place for breakfast/brunch! They have the best cup of coffee in town! Try the red eggs!
One of my favorites
Definitely a fun place to eat great food at very reasonable prices. Menu specials change daily but always a great selection. Corn muffins, blackened chicken, chicken fried steak, salads with a cajun flair...I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it!
