Soul Vegetarian Wellness   

Soul Vegetarian is known around the country for its amazingly tasty vegan soul food. Its South Side location is in the heart of the neighborhood, among many authentic soul food restaurants. Soul Vegetarian's dinners, sandwiches and appetizers are just as good as anything you'd find in Georgia or Mississippi, but there is not a shred of meat or dairy in them. The tofu and other vegetarian 'meats' are cooked and spiced so skillfully that it's hard to believe they aren't the real thing. The restaurant is relatively small and beautifully decorated with African and African-American art lining the walls. During lunch and dinner the restaurant is always pleasantly crowded with regular local customers, as well as visitors coming in from all over the city.
