Almost two decades after first opening in a smaller location a mile to the south, Pasteur remains a top choice for expertly prepared high- level Vietnamese cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood. Examples include scallops seasoned with sesame seeds in a lemongrass sauce and whole red snapper with diced bell peppers, scallions and garlic. Chef Dan Nguyen's cuisine shares the colonial influences of the dcor, and he offers his own take on duck a l'orange and bouillabaisse-to-go with more traditional selections. Presentations are beautiful, flavors are distinct and the menu is numbered so you don't have to be embarrassed by your woeful mispronunciations. Although the Nguyen family (Kim and Tuan Nguyen round out the team) obviously doesn't prize stretching room -- the tables are very close together -- the restaurant still feels spacious and is nicely appointed in light colors with lots of rattan, tall plants and paintings of Vietnamese scenes.

Pasteur is very nice.

Pasteur is very nice w/ their seating and also the restaurant has a nice unique look to it. The food is good I haven't had to complain to them once or my friends either. The dessert sorbets are da bomb. I think everyone should try their food.
