This frenetic pizzeria chain has grown like Topsy since 1950 to accommodate its ever-increasing legion of fans, so eating at one is not exactly a tranquil experience. Fortunately for those who can't stand the din or the wait, Leona's has one of the largest and most reliable delivery teams in Chicago. We say "fortunately" because Leona's has the greatest variety of pizzas in the city and makes them all with elan. We think the thin- crust is the best of the lot, but there are also respectable versions of the pan or deep-dish -- with no fewer than 27 toppings to choose from. Leona's is not timid about adding and deleting menu items, but some permanent entries, like the excellent lasagna and the toothsome ravioli trio (meat, cheese and spinach) are definitely worth a try. Call for other locations.
