Spain is trumpeted through authentic European tapas, sunny homemade sangria, tunes straight from Toledo and colorful decor. Every tapas bar in Spain has its own version of tortilla a la espanola, a traditional Spanish omelet with potatoes, onion and garlic, and Emilio's doesn't disappoint. The list of little dishes extends from grilled beef brochette rolled in cracked pepper, with sauteed peppers, caramelized onions and horseradish sauce to grilled squid with lemon, garlic and olive oil. Entrees include the fragrant paella a la Valenciana abounding with chicken, pork, lobster, shrimp, mussels and clams. Waitstaff can help you sort out the roster of Spanish wines, Sherries and ports. After a sip or two, you may be surprised to step out on Roosevelt Road and not Madrid's Plaza Mayor. - Jacky Runice

Be careful, the address listed here is wrong. This restaurant is in Hillside (just west of Mannheim), not Chicago.

Love the Sangria

Everything tastes fresh I love the dattiles (I don't know if I spelled that right) dates wrapped in bacon. I am sure after a few Sangrias everything tastes better!!!

Always a wonderful variety of dishes with an extensive menu of tapas and daily specials. Service is usually good. There are certain dishes to go back for again and again like the Garlic Potato Salad and the Pincho de Solomillo ala Pimienta which is a beef brochette accompanied by carmelized onions and a horseradish sauce. Nice atmoshpere and good deserts.
