Rate and Write a Review More than 85 years after The Drake was erected on the Magnificent Mile, the dream steakhouse of the venerable hotel's original owners finally emerges. Drake Bros. Steaks - Chicago is named in honor of Drake brothers John B. and Tracy C., and its concept carries out their plan for a classic steakhouse with panoramic views of both Lake Michigan and the Mag Mile. Housed in the former Oak Terrace Restaurant -- which desperately needed updating -- Drake Bros. tastefully blends classic and contemporary accents. The menu showcases an extensive lineup of USDA prime steaks, including a Porterhouse, rib eye, filet and NY strip along with lamb, pork and veal dishes. For those with seriously healthy appetites, a classic prime rib carving station will be available on weekend evenings. And for seafood lovers, select from a seared Ahi tuna with cilantro and tropical fruit salsa or grilled swordfish served with mango and onion chutney. Signature appetizers include the Drake Bros. combination (duck, shrimp and papaya Waldmeier) and retro-inspired dishes such as Escargot a la Bourguignon and steak tartare. For lunch, try the generous healthy salads, light tea sandwiches or several named sandwiches such as the ''John B'' and the ''Tracy C.''
