Connie's is a tour de force in the great Chicago pizza race, in more ways than one. On any given day, some 35 of Connie's trucks are out delivering pizza, from the city location alone. Connie's is also a full-menu restaurant (appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, chicken). The branch on South Archer Avenue looks like a rehabed old warehouse, but it was built from scratch, and it's quite impressive (much more impressive than the new location near Wrigley Field). The pizza is impressive, too -- most of the time. Pizzas come in a variety of styles: middleweight (a little thicker crust), deep-dish, stuffed and, on request, thin-crust. If you're negotiating a big business deal and can't break for lunch, Connie's will deliver 100 pizzas with less than two hours' notice.

Sausage looks, tastes, and feels like Papajohn's. I can not be convinces that the pizza chain has always used this "meat".

Connie's on Archer Avenue is one of the best in the city. Whether you're in the restaurant or having pizza delivered hot and fresh to your door you can't beat it. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. You can't visit Chicago without going to Connies!
