You cannot go anywhere in West Town these days without getting a whiff of some spicy Latin fare. From Bucktown to the East Village, there's a taqueria on almost on every corner. The 'hood, of course, is branching out, and among the homier and more familiar Mexican options, you'll find some solid eats south of the border. Casual diner Buenos Aires Forever, for instance, takes its cue from Argentina with a savory meat-heavy menu. Their signature entree is the parrillada, a traditional Argentine dish that includes chorizo, blood sausage, ribs, kidneys and sweetbread. And there's also the beef milanesa, which is breaded and fried, then topped with mozzarella tomato sauce and ham. But for those looking for lighter options, owners Marcelo and Marcela Sztainberg have also added grilled chicken, salads and some hot and cold sandwiches. And what would a South American eatery be without the empanadas? They also offer freshly baked -- not fried -- varieties stuffed with meat, fruit and veggies.
