Spanish Treat
Tapas restaraunts seem to be popping up all over, but in my opinion, Evanston's Barcelona Tapis is well worth your attention.
The evening that we went to Barcelona Tapis, it was uncrowded, which I am told is not common. Calling ahead is advised, and generally the restaraunt is oriented to adults and is not particularly family-friendly.
The dishes that we ordered were served hot, fresh and savory. Of particular note were the steamed mussels which were among the best I have sampled.
Barcelona Tapis' exotic drink and beer selections are worth positive note. Look beyond the usual cocktails, beers and wines and you will find some exotic selections indeed.
My only suggestion is that you go to Barcelona Tapis with no less than a group of 6 people- that way a larger variety of selections can be ordered, shared, and enjoyed by all.
