Cubs fans are a loyal bunch -- to their taverns as much as to their team -- so it's a hard sell to get them to check out Wrigleyville's latest nightlife options during baseball season. Before and after games, fans flock to the usual suspects: Murphy's Bleachers, Cubby Bear and Yak-Zie's, all no-frills bars with beer and basic pub grub. It'll be interesting to observe how they embrace Casey Moran's, a glossy newcomer with an Irish theme. Casey Moran's takes over the old Compeche Cantina spot, and it is a bit too charming with its mahogany accents, granite counter tops and classy chandeliers. But its saving grace may be those 26 plasma HDTVs the owners have installed so customers may watch just about every sporting event imaginable. Also, the menu is not so uppity that it'll scare folks away: Buffalo wings, burgers, quesadillas and other finger-food faves are here. They'll also delight in the 10 draft beers and 20 bottle choices behind the bar.

The Best place in Wrigleyville

Finally a place that did something differet in Wrigley. The spot to be after a game or on Friday and Saturday nights. Not a bad spot to catch an Ohio State Game either. Lots of Buckeyes!

You know, at one time or another, Murphy's was a 'new' place...bet you didn't know that. Anyway, the beer prices at Casey Moran's are right on par with everywhere else. You actually get more bang for your buck here than at Murphy's or Sport's Corner. Beers there are $5 for a can, and you can get a pint at Moran's for the same price. There are more options as well.

And the waitresses are all pretty much complete knockouts...which is a plus for any bar or restaurant. And the TVs make it a place to go that no matter where you stand, you can see the Cubbies in action.

All FAKE

Yeah the TVs are the draw but when you come to Wrigley you want the real thing not a new comer that charges top buck for the beer. Stay with Murphys or Sports corner. Real Chicago.
