Family Gathering 07/20/2007
We recently enjoyed a family gathering at Vivaces. The food was great, the setting in the Red Room was perfect, the service was friendly and efficient, the music low and appropriate and there was no smoke! A lovely place to gather for a dozen or so people.
Vivace is "The Best of CVILLE" 07/04/2007
We Love Vivace. From the wonderful patios to the highly decrorated interior really sets you in the mood for some delicious Italian food. Vivace Delivers, The food was outstanding and the Service was impecable. After the meal we were greated by the owner to have a drink at the bar. The Bar room of Vivace was on of the best I have seen. The bar is something out of a old saloon that was made by cabinet makers in the 1940's. Wonderful food wonderful atmosphere made our evening the best.
Now THAT'S Italian! 02/18/2007
I moved to Virginia from New York 15 years ago and searched for good Italian food for months. My wife and I went to Vivace for our 27th anniversary and found it to be posiibly the best Italian cuisine anywhere South of New York! Vivace, in my opinion, has no competetion whatsoever. True Italian Flair 10/05/2003
Visting from Richmond for the evening, my boyfriend and I stumbled onto this lovely, quaint resturant. Just looking at it from the outside, I knew that we had struck gold. The resturant is transformed from an old house. Tables are lit by tiny chandeliers, and the backround music adds to the exceptional experience. Service was outstanding, the wine list was quite satisfying, and the food was absolutely incredible. After living in Europe for several years, I appriciated the menu that was written in Italian(but was translated in english just below).. If you are looking for a perfect romantic evening, include Vivace in your plans. I am sure glad that I did!
Top Notch Dining 08/24/2001
Vivace is easliy Charlottesville's best Italian Restaurant. Most of its dishes are light with a Northern Italian flavor, and the wine list is impressive. During the summer, enjoy dinner on the patio, or inside the charming dining room. Prices are a la carte, and some dishes are expensive, but the food is worth it. This is one of only a few Charlottesville restaurants that I would give five stars.
