I just moved to town and was checking the bars out, The bar itself is very nice however they charge like $9 to get in and then when you get in there are not many people there, the ones that do go there are usually not attractive and the drinks are watered down and expensive. I had 3 mixed drinks and a shot and all of them were watered down. The shot that normally I hate i could have sipped on since it was mostly water. We all ended up switching to bottled beer since there was no way they could water them down. The music here is horrible, no clue who the DJ is but, its bad. So to sum it all up, its a high cover....way too high for what you get when you are inside...ugly people, watered down drinks, and horrible loud music. NOT A GOOD TIME AT ALL...do not waste your money, go somewhere else..I would say Scorpios but for whatever reason they only open on wed and sunday..WTF??

I haven't been to Velocity in several months because the music is so terrible! I say get DJ Randall Warren (DJ RAW) to play some awesome dance mixes here. Lin Binfield, please go back to Scorpio.

GREAT light and sound system that rivals any club in Atlanta. My only complaint is the Charlotteans. They all need to lighten up a bit and have some fun instead of being so bitter. In my opinion, wheel this club to Atlanta and Blu would be just as dead as Backstreet is now. I'll definetely be back there for Manny Lehman!

I attended the club on Nov.29,2003 and its not all of that.When they say that there wil be a kind of people in the club,they lied.There were more gay men than there was women.But other than that its cool I guess.I am a bi-sexual female that was in search of the same sex,but that was not the place for me to start looking.

Velocity is awesome! Ranks up there with clubs in Boystown in Chicago...if you are in Charlotte, go!

Possitively the best charlotte has to offer! It is nice to see a club that is out there for the people that support it. Clubs that get involved with the community as much as Velocity has shows that it cares about the community and isnt just out to get rich off of it. ALL of the other clubs like Velocity were and are just greedy. They do not care about us. Plus a great staff to boot. The DJ is AWESOME. Thank God we have a change from Breeze and those millions of others like him. Thank God we have someone that is at the same level as Miami, Chicago, and others. And for those of you who disagree... put down the crack pipe long enough to save up the money to travel and you will see. Charlotte we are growing up thanks to Velocity... dont try to fight it!

this club is awesome and im a str8 woman, i went with my gay cousin and we had an awesome time, the crowd is friendly and the drinks are good price. everyone can go to the lounge and not have to deal withy a sleezy doorman. i highly recomend this club. and NICK THE SECURITY GUARD IS HOTTTTTT
