Once a popular local sports bar (the Dilworth location of the popular Graduate chain), this Morehead restaurant changed gears in 2004, backing off of the bar focus and making the Grille more of a family spot, offering shuffleboard and pool. Only Queen City natives know it, but Grille stands on the site of a Charlotte landmark: the Cavalaris Skating Rink, a home to kid-friendly fun for 30 years. Dilworth Neighborhood Grille looks to recapture some of the nostalgic Cavalaris vibe, showcasing local memorabilia and pics of Dilworth way back when -- and even repairing and restoring the original skating rink marquee that marks an interior entrance. There's still a bar for blowing off steam with a bourbon and coke, but there's also booster seats for the kids and banquet space for local Little Leaguers. But hey, it's not THAT wholesome: As well as booze, there's also naughty SNL-style improv comedy from the Pink Turtle Sketchprov experience.
