Excellent! The fish was fresh, the sirloin was great! We travel often so eat at high quality restaurants all over the map. This restaurant was recommended to us, & we found that it lived up to its reputation as a great restaurant! We would definitely recommend it and return when in Charleston, WV!

Tidewater is a very good restaurant, especially the bar area I have eaten there for many years. Greek salad, poppy seed rolls, jerked shrimp and oysters on the half shell are my favorites.

The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down! The Tidewater used to be my favorite place for fresh seafood, but we do not even go there anymore.

We had dinner there last weekend and the food was great, very well prepared and the wait staff did a fine job. I would recommend this to seafood lovers anytime. Well worth the cost.

I have been in the back of Tidewater (delivering) and many other restaurants in and around Charleston, and as far as the food and service I cant give a rating....have never ate there, but after being in the backs of them...I won't

I've frequented the Tidewater Grill for years. There are plenty of great seafood entrees on the menu, but their freshly baked rolls and dinner salads are so good that I usually end up skipping the seafood & pasta dishes and snitching a taste of my dinner companion's order.

In case anyone is interested, WCHS TV recently reported that Tidewater got an excellent review by the Health Department. Way to go guys!!

To the one that wants to call Tidewater the best restaurant in Charleston, you must not get out much in Charleston to stand by that. I have no issuses with Tidewater other then truth! Have you ever been in the kitchen to know it is clean? I am sure you have not and can't say that it is clean. And yeah sure send your food back to the kitchen if you don't like it, ever seen the movie "Waiting"? You might want to catch that one. I stand by and will always stand by my 1 VERY MUCH NASTY STAR! ;)
