upon confirming a reservation we were treated very rudely and after that we canceled our reservation and will never eat there again

Used to go to Sal's for the stuffed lobster, 2x great, 3rd time an absolute flop, or should I say a piece of wood. The server obviously left what was once a wonderfully cooked and presented whole lobster under the warming light for 20 minutes while he took a leak, had a smoke, whatever it is servers want to do when they're busy ignoring you in favor of attending to others they find more attractive or are pissed at the chef. We are major fine diners, 2-3x per week, though it was great until the 3rd time, now won't go back.

My family and I have been to Salvatore's on many occasions including holidays. It has always been great , food and service. The surf and turf is the best. Lately the shrimp cocktail hasn't been that good and the one Host can be rude sometimes. But I guess nothing is perfect!

Going to Salvatore's Italian Gardens is a fantastic night out! Not only do you get a superb dinner, you can walk around the restaurant to see everything that is inside. There is much not to be missed on the inside and the cars on the outside. The staff treats you as you are the only person in the restaurant with their great service! My favorite meal there is the Steak Ala Russell or the Steak Joseph. But I have to say, I have NEVER had a bad meal at the restaurant. You can not go wrong at all with a fantastic night out at Salvatore's. The great ambiance, the fantastic service and the superb food makes it a night to remember no matter how many times you visit there!

All I can say is Oh. My. God. This is the most over-decorated (and not in a good way), over-priced and overrated restaurant in Buffalo. My son who lives out of state booked his wedding there because he had heard it was great, but when he came to Buffalo and actually saw the place and had dinner there a week later, he forfeited his deposit and booked another venue pronto.
