The wall decorations alone -- a steer head here, a lacquered hoof there and steer horns everywhere - let you know that vegetarians should beware. This is Meat Club headquarters. Midwest Grill is a Brazilian churrasco rodizio, literally a "rotating barbecue," with anywhere from eight to 12 meats turning on spits in the open kitchen. And when you order the Rodizio (which most people do), these slowly spinning skewers will be pulled from the rotisserie, carried to your table and fancily carved right onto your plate. There is also a buffet where you can pile your plate high with all sorts of protein. Sit back, because you can eat as much as you want of whatever you want, whether it's sirloin, pork or chicken hearts. Communal side dishes served in large bowls provide some balance and variety and complete the Rodizio. A small non-Rodizio menu and a few Portuguese dishes are also available. Some nights you'll find samba singers adding a soothing lilt to the air.

DON'T MISS IN CAMBRIDGE
By mrg4244 on 05/09/2007
The All you can eat portion features the following- reg. rooast beef, GZarlic roast beef, poek loin, lamb and chicken. They also have a buffet table with asst side dishes which were good. BUT THE GARILC ROAST BEEF, AND THE LAMB WERE TO DIE FOR- THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD !!!!!!! Made the food @ the Capital Grill look bad,, at 1/2 the price !! To top it all off the waiters also brought fresh grilled rolls in butter to the tables. Whis I had the recipe for the meats. All meats were hand carved at the tables for eac h person as well. mrg4244@aol.com

The Feedbag is ON!

We've been to the Midwest Grill threee times in the last two years. The specialty of the house is the all you can eat BBQ which involves wait staff coming to your table every few minutes with a skewer of beef, pork, sausage, chicken hearts, etc. and an all you can eat buffet. Make no mistake about it, the Midwest Grill is BIG FOOD. The BBQ tends to be flavorful although the buffet items are usually a bit limp and over cooked by nature. If you're on a diet or your date weighs 100 pounds, you'll miss the true beauty of the Midwest Grill. The BBQ costs $19 or $22 depending on when you go go skip breakfast & lunch and chow down!

Al Troiano is a terrific man. He's got the best jukebox of ANY bar I've been in and that is in the hundreds.Food is good.Mostly friendly crowd. The so called "lady" bartenders (and you know who you are, because the customers know)brazenly palm $$$$$ ,don't give correct change if you're not watching and counting. They should be required to wear a shirt that says"STICKY FINGERS," and I'm not talking about the Stones album
