Bangkok Blue is neatly situated in a bright, plant-filled room across from the BPL. At lunchtime it's filled with, well, local copywriters and businessmen on lunch break, but gets a touch trendier later on when the Back Bay nighthawks take up residence. The menu is broadly Thai and vaguely Indonesian. Dumplings are thin- skinned, their meat stuffing pungent. Mee krob is a crispy, complex noodle dish that is essentially upgraded Pad Thai, and Rendang is an Indonesian curry dosed with turmeric and ginger. Average Thai food elevated by above-average surroundings.
